Energy > Time: The Growth Secret Loan Officers Overlook

Michael Creed • September 2, 2025

What shift would happen in your business if you prioritized energy before filling your calendar?

In our industry, it’s easy to believe the key to success is working longer hours, stacking more calls, or packing your calendar with meetings. But here’s the truth: time isn’t the ultimate lever—energy is.

When your energy is low, even the “perfect” schedule falls flat. But when your energy is high, you’ll crush more in less time—and enjoy doing it.

Just today, I caught myself forcing through a sluggish morning. Instead, I stopped, got on my bike, and rode for 65 minutes. Nothing extreme. Just enough to reset. I came back sharper, closed out tasks faster, and actually had fun doing it.

Loan officers often ask, “How do I scale my business?” The real answer starts here: manage your energy, not just your time.
